God knew to send me black fuzz!

So, we had a couple people over last night for supper and were sitting around the campfire making smores afterwards. I was admittedly not the life of the party and my brain was pretty much thinking "bed...sleepy...please!" the whole time (no offense to the couple that was here, I was just tired!) Suddenly Allison says, "hey, there's a cat over here" and we look to up see a little cat shaped shadow run about 6 feet up the tree and cling there. When we tried to say hi, he ran down and scooted along the fence into the back of the yard. We figured he was gone until about 2 minutes later, he came sneaking back up to us. To spare you the play by play, he decided we weren't so scary people, and we had kitty food which was a plus :o)

Today is luckily my day and it has been absorbed with making sure our new little friend is taken care of. We have named him Milton and have put out the word to the local veterinarians that he is at our house. We took him in for a routine checkup today and he seems to be a healthy 4 month-ish old little boy. A couple of fleas, but otherwise he seems healthy. We are waiting for the lab work to make sure has nothing our other boys can catch before we consider letting him out of the basement bathroom.

Personality wise, I am not sure he can get enough kisses or snuggles. The vet never got a listen to his heart because he refused to stop purring...they even tried dipping his paw in water and having him sniff alcohol just to see if it was phase him enough to stop his motor. He didn't seem to care a bit and went right on purring and rubbing and kissing everyone. Needless to say, I'm in love. If his owners come along that's great, but part of me hopes we don't get a phone call!
